Steven T. Bielstein was born in Victoria, Texas in 1962. Since his early childhood, he began to develop a keen interest in art. From his earliest recollections, he has always felt a desire to create beautiful drawings and paintings. Elementary school art teachers were instrumental in setting the direction for his passion and love for art, and with his parent's support, he began to learn more advanced drawing skills under the tutelage of the late Simon Michael.

There were many influences early on in Steve’s life, but the one who stands out most notably is Dalhart Windberg who has also lived and painted in Victoria. Although he never met Windberg until later in his life, Steve was amazed by the skill and detail of Dalhart’s work. It was his renaissance look and the perfection of handling the paint that greatly impacts Steve to this day. Although influenced by Windberg’s smooth canvas technique, Steve uses a notably more impressionistic style in his work.

Steve has studied oil painting under Henry Wallace, and nationally renowned artists Mark Keathley and Dalhart Windberg. He has gained national recognition for drawing and has won regional and local awards with his art. He is also an associate member of the Oil Painters of America. His goal is to be able to inspire others with the same kind of passion and pleasure for art as he was early on. Steve lives with his wife and family in Cuero, Texas.
